Airstrike on Pitaung Kone Village, Yedashe Township Kills One Man and Injures Another

One man was killed and another person injured after the military conducted an airstrike on Pitaung Kone village in Yedashe Township, Bago Region, according to local residents.

The bombing occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. on April 11, when a K-8 jet fighter dropped bombs on the village located on the eastern bank of the Sittaung River, despite no active clashes in the area at the time, sources confirmed.

During the airstrike, 29-year-old Ko Weiluu from Pitaung Kone village was killed, and a 60-year-old woman sustained injuries, residents reported.
