Junta Airstrike on Village School in Pinlebu Kills Teacher, Injures 10 Children Including 4-Year-Old

A junta airstrike targeted a village school in In Gyar Village, Pinlebu Township, Sagaing Region, on the evening of June 20, killing one female teacher and injuring ten children, including a 4-year-old, according to local residents and a member of the Pinlebu Township People’s Defense Team.

The attack occurred around 4 p.m. when a junta fighter jet dropped two 500-pound bombs on the school compound without any active combat taking place in the area, locals reported.

The explosion killed the teacher instantly, and at least ten children sustained injuries. Among the injured are two children in critical condition, raising concerns for their survival.

“The teacher died on the spot. Among the injured children is a 4-year-old, and two of them are in serious condition, facing life-threatening injuries,” said a spokesperson from the Pinlebu People’s Defense Team.
