A People’s Defense Force (PDF) fighter monitoring military movements near Yoma Village, Oatpho Township, Bago Region, was arrested and brutally killed by junta troops, according to an official from the 3801 Troop 5 Hero Guerrilla Force in Kyaukpinkauk, Tharyarwady District.
The incident occurred on December 5, as the PDF fighter, identified as Mun Gyi from the 3801 Troop 5 Hero Guerrilla Force, was observing junta troop movements in the area. He reportedly encountered a column of approximately 100 soldiers from the junta forces and was subsequently captured.
Following his capture, junta troops allegedly gouged out both of Mun Gyi’s eyes and struck his head repeatedly with rifle butts, leading to his death. The gruesome nature of his killing underscores the ongoing brutalities in the conflict.
