A woman was killed and four others seriously injured when Myanmar’s military carried out an airstrike on a village school in Ywar Tan Shay village, located in Madaya Township of Mandalay Region, according to a local official from the People’s Defense Forces in Pyin Oo Lwin District.
The attack occurred at approximately 3:19 p.m. on May 3, when a K8-W fighter jet operated by the junta’s air force from Tada-U airbase dropped bombs on the school compound in the western part of Madaya Township.
The airstrike resulted in the death of one woman and left four civilians with severe injuries. In addition, a cow was reportedly killed and school buildings sustained structural damage due to the bombing.
