The military junta has conducted three consecutive days of airstrikes on Thipaw, Shan State, from September 28 to September 30, leading to the deaths of four civilians and injuries to eleven others, according to the TNLA. On September 28, the junta’s airstrikes targeted the Zatsuk ward, resulting in injuries to three civilians, one in Zatsuk’s border area, and two near a local market football field, causing significant damage to over ten homes and shops.
Additionally, on September 29 around 3 PM, the military launched airstrikes using a Y-12 aircraft, striking various locations within Thipaw, including the local hospital, restaurants, a tea shop, and areas near the school and Thipaw Bridge.
The bombings resulted in the death of one male civilian in the Dhammayone area, while five others sustained injuries, including a man near the old sandbank, a member of a charity organization, and two others near the hospital and the Kwan Yar shop intersection.
In a similar incident in Kha Lin village, a family of three, including a seven-year-old child, lost their lives due to the military’s airstrikes. Reports indicate that airstrikes with jet fighters and Y-12 aircraft on the previous night also damaged numerous homes.
Throughout September, the military junta’s indiscriminate air and artillery attacks targeting civilians have resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals and injuries to 41 others, along with the destruction of 47 homes in the area, according to TNLA sources.
