Two civilians — including a child — were killed when junta forces carried out an airstrike on Kyauk Ai Village in Kasetdo Township, Myeik-Tavoy District, according to a statement from KNU – Mergui-Tavoy District.
The attack occurred at around 10:55 a.m. on June 7, when a junta fighter jet dropped two bombs on Kyauk Ai Village, part of Taung Pyauk village tract in Kasetdo Township, Tanintharyi Region.
According to local sources, 10-year-old Saw Than Win Htwe and 55-year-old U Than Aung were killed in the bombing.
