In Yehtwet Village, Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region, an airstrike by the military has led to the deaths of 24 civilians, according to a spokesperson from the Pyin Oo Lwin District People’s Defense Force (PDF).
The airstrike occurred around 1:00 PM on April 19, when the military bombed Yehtwet Village. Initially, 13 people were confirmed dead at the scene, and among those receiving medical treatment for injuries, 11 others later succumbed to severe wounds.
Furthermore, more than 30 people were injured in the attack, and as some of the injured remain in critical condition, the number of fatalities may increase.
