It was reported that the military entered the village and set fire to houses without any clashes occurring, leading to the killing of one villager. A resident of Tapyein Village remarked, “The military came in and killed one villager. They are burning the village with their firebombs and soldiers. They first set fire to the village on May 21, destroying nine homes. This is the second time they have returned to burn it again. We cannot survive with these actions from the military and their soldiers.”
